WEARABLE UNICORN MAKEUP 🦄

Everyone's latest obsession lately has been unicorns. From coffee to makeup it's everywhere. The other day I was sitting at my vanity about to start my makeup and didn't really know what I wanted to do. Normally when I can;t think of anything, I go to Instagram or Pinterest for some inspiration. For some reason, I went to unicorns for my inspiration instead. It was a rather hot day, so I wanted to keep the look light and wearable. The look came out looking like this:

In the future, I definitely plan on doing a makeup tutorial for this look. So keep an eye out for that and don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube ChannelFor this look, I went straight to my Urban Decay Vice LTD Edition Palette. I tried to find links for the products if you wanted to purchase them. The Urban Decay one's don't have links because those colors are limited edition and I didn't know that! Here are all the details on the look:

  • First, I primed my eyelids with the NYX Full Coverage Concealer in Fair. I have been absolutely loving this concealer as a primer. I feel like this works better than an actual primer.
  • I took the color Laced from the UD Vice LTD Edition Palette and swept this in the crease. This is a really pretty transition shade or a great shade to put in the crease if you want to do a really light, natural look similar to this.
  • For the lid I went in with Anonymous also from the UD Vice LTD Edition Palette. This color is a really nice skin tone shade. It's perfect to set primer or again, use for a light, natural look.
Here comes the fun part!
  • To do the wing, I went in with a Sonia Kashuck angled brush. To do the outer part I picked up Junkshow from the UD Vice LTD Edition Palette and lined about half of the lash line. This color I also used to create that wing. I kept the wing small because I wasn't sure about how it would come out.
  • I cleaned off the brush using an old towel and used it to pick up the next color which was HooDoo from the UD palette. I lined the rest of the lash line with this.
  • Then I realized that this needed some depth, so I went in with UD's Freakshow and popped this in the middle to blend Junkshow and HooDoo together.
  • I repeated all of these steps on the lower lash line as well.
  • For an inner corner highlight I went in with my favorite  color ever, which is UD's Provocateur.
  • Once I was done, I realized that this look really needed that extra sparkle. I knew exactly what I needed: the NYX Crystal Liner in Crystal Hip. This liner is beautiful and I think it's what really pulled the look together. Using this liner actually helped me create a really nice sharp wing because it ended up dragging some of Junkshow.
  • Next up, I just popped some of my NYX Wonder Pencil in the water line to open up my eyes.
  • For mascara I used the Benefit Bad Gal Lash, Max Factor Masterpiece Max High Volume + Definition, and Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes. I use a lot of mascara because I don't wear falsies. I personally feel like this gives a more natural look.

One thing that I regret when doing this look was not putting a white eyeliner down first before applying the shadows. That would've really made the colors stand out more. Like I already said, I plan on recreating the look on my YouTube Channel so I'm definitely going to apply a white eyeliner first before the shadows.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed this post! I'm hoping to post more things like this through out the summer, so stay tuned.
