MY FIRST IPSY BAG | AUGUST 2022 IPSY BAG

If you've been following my blog or even YouTube channel, you would know I love a good subscription box. I recently canceled my Boxycharm subscription and decided to try out something new. Ipsy has been talked about for years and I never heard bad things. Let's see what I got in my first bag!

1.  Dry Bar Liquid Glass Miracle Smoothing Sealant

This product from Dry Bar uses heat-activated technology that provides each strand of hair with a shield against frizz. It gives your hair a super glossy finish and lasts up to 3 washes. This also can help protect your hair from heat. It retails for $34.

I'm really excited to try this out! I'm really curious about it lasting 3 washes. If it does last up to 3 washes, then I'm going to say it sounds worth it. We shall see!

2.  Alo Glow System Radiance Serum

The Radiance Serum from Alo brightens, refines skin tone, and softens fine lines giving your skin a dewy, glowing complexion. This is hypoallergenic,  noncomedogenic, vegan, and cruelty-free. It retails for $68.

I love a good serum and think I'll really enjoy this one! The dewy and glowing complexion claims really sold me, so I can't wait to try this.

3. Bite Beauty Power Move Soft Matte Lipstick in Sugar Buns

Bite Beauty's Power Move Soft Matte Lipsticks are creamy and nondrying, leaving your lips with a velvety matte finish. The formula is feather and fade-resistant. All of their lipsticks are currently on sale for $7(!!!).

I'm bummed that Bite Beauty is going out of business because they make amazing lip products. Sugar Buns is a gorgeous pinky nude that actually looks good on my skin tone! Check out my YouTube video for a swatch.

4. Illamasqua Beyond Liquid Highlighter in OMG

This Liquid Highlighter is inspired by Illamasqua's best-selling powder highlighter. Its champagne glow makes it great for all skin tones. This is also a great multi-use product, you can mix it in with your foundation or concealer or use it in your skincare routine for an extra glowy look. This retails for $31.

I've been loving liquid highlighters lately! The color of this one is stunning. I cannot wait to play around with it and incorporate it into my makeup routine.

5. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Medium Brown

Everyone knows and loves Brow Wiz from Anastasia Beverly Hills. It's an ultra slim brow pencil that's great for detailing and creating hair-like strokes. This retails for $23.

Now, I LOVE Brow Wiz and have used it multiple times. My one little issue is when I filled out my profile on Ipsy I put that I have black hair. Medium brown can work if I go more heavy-handed than I usually do, maybe mixing in some black eyeshadow or something. If I don't love it as a brow pencil, I could always use it as an eyeliner or something. I'll update you on Instagram.

Overall, I am very happy with my first Ipsy bag.  I will definitely be using all of the products. The total value of the bag is $170! Make sure you're following me on Instagram for any updates! Tell me in the comments what you think of the bag.
