DERMALOGICA ACTIVE MOIST REVIEW

Trying out new products is one of my favorite things, especially skincare products. Skincare products are so fun to me. I was very lucky to receive the Dermalogica Active Moist Oil-Free Prebiotic Moisturizer from Bzzagent

This moisturizer is sheer, oil-free, and lightweight. It contains a blend of plant extracts and Prebiotic Moisture that helps hydrate and improves skin texture. The formula doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy and won't clog your pores. It's a great moisturizer for anyone with oiliness, dryness, combination skin, dullness, or uneven texture. For 1.7 oz this retails for $42 and 3.4 oz is $66. (All of this information is from ulta.com and the Dermalogica website)

I tried the moisturizer for a week, morning and night, here's how it went!

DAY ONE Sunday January 24: My skin looked naturally glowy all day. I really like how the moisturizer sank right into the skin. I realized that the moisturizer has a slight citrus scent. At night, my skin still felt good. I don't use as many products at night as I do in the morning, so I didn't see that glow. There was no irritation to my skin or added breakouts.

DAY TWO Monday January 25: When I woke up, my skin felt a little tight around my cheeks. I'm not entirely sure if that is from the mask I did Sunday night or if my skin is dry there. I did have some dry patches on my nose and those are gone.

DAY THREE Tuesday January 26: Last night I exfoliated and woke up with no tight feeling on my cheeks. Today is another mask night, so I will see how my skin feels in the am!

DAY FOUR Wednesday January 27: My skin felt really good this morning. I think the mask that I used on Sunday caused the dryness on my cheeks. I like to switch up my masks and used one from Generation Clay last night. So far, I'm liking the moisturizer!

DAY SIX Friday January 29: There was no update for day five. My skin looked and felt hydrated. Last night I did a sheet mask. I wanted to do different masks through out the week to see how my skin would react. My skin felt a little tight even after a sheet mask, but wasn't as bad as day two. Today was the first day that I wore makeup all week with the moisturizer and I really liked how my makeup looked!

DAY SEVEN Saturday January 30: When I woke up my skin was TIGHT. I'm not sure if it was because I had gone out the night before and it was really cold and windy or if I just didn't put on a good amount before bed. The rest of the day, my skin felt and looked fine. It's just weird how some days my skin was good and other day's it wasn't.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:

I do think that the moisturizer was good. I really like that it's a very lightweight moisturizer that basically melts into the skin. The one thing that I really did notice is that this would probably be best for spring/summer time when it's not really cold out. I live in New Jersey and it's cold. With it being really cold, I feel like this moisturizer didn't hold up like my others do. All personal preference, but I think the moisturizer is a better for day. I would recommend this if you're looking for something nice and lightweight for the upcoming spring and summer months or if you're more on the normal skin side.

Have you tried this moisturizer? If you have what did you think about it? I want to know!! Thank you so much for reading my latest post. Hope you enjoyed it. Don't forget to follow me on Instagram for updates!
